At Cross Street, growth has always been about building the right relationships, with the right people, at the right time. We’re proud to announce that Peak Properties has officially joined the Cross Street national platform, formalizing a partnership that has a storied history and an exciting future.
Founded nearly 30 years ago by Mike Zucker, Peak Properties has grown into one of the city’s most recognized property management companies, now overseeing more than 9,000 units across Chicago neighborhoods. This impressive growth is the result of decades of trust built with residents, investors, and communities across the city.
That trust isn’t going anywhere. Peak will continue operating under its own name in Chicago, serving the same clients with the same local expertise that made it a staple of the market.

For Peak clients, day-to-day operations remain unchanged. The same team, the same local focus, the same commitment to Chicago. The changes are happening behind the scenes: by operating on a shared infrastructure with Cross Street, Peak clients will benefit from greater resources, improved operational efficiency, and the kind of cost savings that come with scale.
For Cross Street clients, this move significantly deepens our in-house management capabilities. When leasing and property management operate together, efficiency follows naturally. Having both functions embedded within the same organization means our brokers and property managers are working from the same playbook, creating a meaningfully better experience for renters and owners alike.
For renters, the transition from signing a lease to settling into a home becomes seamless, with direct coordination between the team that placed them and the team managing their building. For owners, it means real visibility into their assets, with leasing and management operating as one integrated team rather than in separate silos.
Cross Street clients will have the opportunity to utilize our leasing services, management services, or both.

This move represents the formalization of a relationship years in the making. Mike Zucker will remain on the board and continue contributing to local management, business development, and investor relations. His presence ensures continuity and reinforces what this combination is really about: building something that lasts.
We’re proud to welcome Peak Properties to the Cross Street family. As Peak stays local to Chicago and Cross Street begins our national climb in both leasing and management services, we’re just getting started.
